Prologue

1 In the beginning^(A) was the Word,^(B) and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.^(C)

²² So when he was raised from the dead,^(A) his disciples remembered that he had said this,^(B) and they believed the Scripture^(C) and the statement Jesus had made.

¹⁵ Be diligent to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth.^(A)

¹² For the word of God is living and effective^(A) and sharper than any double-edged sword,^(B) penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.^(C)
