John 12:41-43

⁴¹ Isaiah said these things because^[a] he saw his glory^(A) and spoke about him.

⁴² Nevertheless, many did believe in him even among the rulers,^(B) but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, so that they would not be banned from the synagogue. ⁴³ For they loved human praise^(C) more than praise from God.^(D)
