²⁰ Having said this, he showed them his hands and his side.^(A) So the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.

²¹ Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me,^(B) I also send you.”^{(C) 22} After saying this, he breathed on them^(D) and said,^[a] “Receive the Holy Spirit.^(E)
