⁶ so that this will be a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, “What do these stones mean to you? ”^{(A) 7} you should tell them, “The water of the Jordan was cut off in front of the ark of the Lord’s covenant. When it crossed the Jordan, the Jordan’s water was cut off.” Therefore these stones will always be a memorial for the Israelites.’^(B)

²⁴ and when he had given thanks, broke it, and said,^[a] ‘This is my body, which is^[b] for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’^(A)

²⁵ In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, and said, ‘This cup is the new covenant^(B) in my blood.^(C) Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.’
