Judges 9:13-15

¹³ “But the vine said to them, ‘Should I leave my wine, by which I cheer God and man, and go to advance above the trees?’

¹⁴ “Then all the trees said to the bramble, ‘Come! Reign over us!’

¹⁵ “And the bramble said to the trees, ‘If you will indeed anoint me king over you, come and put your trust under my shadow. And if not, the fire shall come out of the bramble and consume the cedars of Lebanon.’
