Judges 9:24-26

²⁴ so that the cruelty toward the seventy sons of Jerubbaal and their blood might come and be laid upon Abimelech, their brother who had killed them, and upon the men of Shechem who had aided him to kill his brethren.

²⁵ So the men of Shechem set men in waiting for him, on the tops of the mountains, who robbed all who passed that way by them. And it was told to Abimelech.

²⁶ Then Gaal, the son of Ebed, came with his brethren. And they went to Shechem. And the men of Shechem put their confidence in him.
