¹⁵ ‘Every person, whether the native or the resident foreigner,^(A) who eats an animal that died a natural death or was mauled by wild beasts^(B) is to wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will remain unclean until evening; then he will be clean.

⁸ He must not eat an animal that died naturally or was mauled by wild beasts,^[a](A) making himself unclean by it; I am the Lord.

³¹ The priests may not eat any bird or animal that died naturally or was mauled by wild beasts.^(A)
