¹⁷ ‘Do not harbour hatred against your brother.^[a](A) Rebuke your neighbour directly, and you will not incur guilt because of him.^(B)

³ Be^(A) on your guard. If your brother sins,^[a] rebuke^(B) him, and if he repents, forgive^(C) him.

Carry One Another’s Burdens

6 Brothers and sisters, if someone is overtaken in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual, restore such a person with a gentle^(A) spirit,^[a](B) watching out for yourselves so that you won’t also be tempted.^(C)

¹⁵ Yet don’t consider him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother.

¹⁹ My brothers and sisters, if any among you strays from the truth,^(A) and someone turns him back,^(B)

Wives and Husbands

3 In the same way, wives,^(A) submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, even if some disobey the word,^(B) they may be won over^(C) without a word by the way their wives live^(D)
