Destruction of the Temple Predicted

⁵ As^(A) some were talking about the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and gifts dedicated to God, he said,

⁹ because a wide door^(A) for effective ministry has opened for me^[a] – yet many oppose me.

²⁸ not being frightened in any way by your opponents.^(A) This is a sign of destruction for them,^(B) but of your salvation^(C) – and this is from God.

¹⁴ Therefore, I want younger women to marry,^(A) have children, manage their households, and give the adversary no opportunity to accuse us.^(B)
