⁴⁰ A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.^(A)

¹⁶ ‘Truly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his master,^[a](A) and a messenger is not greater than the one who sent him.

²⁰ Remember the word I spoke to you: “A servant is not greater than his master.”^(A) If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word,^(B) they will also keep yours.
