Luke 6:7-9

⁷ The scribes and Pharisees were watching him closely,^(A) to see if he would heal on the Sabbath, so that they could find a charge against him.^{(B) 8} But he knew their thoughts^(C) and told the man with the shriveled hand, “Get up and stand here.”^[a] So he got up and stood there. ⁹ Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you: Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?”^(D)
