² They began to accuse him, saying, ‘We found this man misleading our nation, opposing payment of taxes^(A) to Caesar, and saying that he himself is the Messiah, a king.’

¹⁰ The chief priests and the scribes stood by, vehemently accusing him.

⁵ For we have found this man to be a plague,^(A) an agitator^(B) among all the Jews throughout the Roman world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.^(C)

¹³ Neither can they prove the charges they are now making against me.
