¹⁶ And others are like seed sown on rocky ground. When they hear the word, immediately they receive it with joy.^(A)

¹² But to all who did receive^(A) him,^(B) he gave them the right^(C) to be^[a] children^(D) of God,^(E) to those who believe^(F) in his name,^(G)

⁴⁸ The one who rejects me^(A) and doesn’t receive my sayings has this as his judge:^[a] The word I have spoken will judge him on the last day.^(B)

²⁰ Truly I tell you, whoever receives anyone I send receives me, and the one who receives^(A) me receives him who sent me.’

⁸ because I have given them the words you gave me.^(A) They have received them and have known for certain that I came from you.^(B) They have believed that you sent me.
