⁶He answered them, ‘Isaiah^(A) prophesied^(B) correctly about you hypocrites,^(C) as it is written:^(D)

This people honours^(E) me with their lips,
but their heart is far from me.
⁷They worship me in vain,
teaching^(F) as doctrines^(G) human commands.^[a]^(H)

⁸Abandoning the command of God, you hold on to human tradition.’^[b]
