The Son Gives Knowledge and Rest

²⁵ At that time Jesus said,^(A) ‘I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and revealed them to infants.^(B)

¹¹ He responded, ‘Not everyone can accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given.^(A)

⁶⁵ He said, ‘This is why I told you that no one can come to me^(A) unless it is granted to him by the Father.’

¹⁰ Now God has revealed these things to us by the Spirit, since the Spirit searches everything,^(A) even the depths of God.^(B)

²⁷ God wanted to make known among the Gentiles the glorious wealth of this mystery, which is Christ^(A) in you, the hope^(B) of glory.

²⁰ But you have an anointing^(A) from the Holy One,^(B) and all of you know the truth.^[a]

²⁷ As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need anyone to teach you. Instead, his anointing teaches you about all things^(A) and is true and is not a lie; just as it has taught you,^[a] remain in him.^(B)
