⁵⁵ Isn’t this the carpenter’s son?^(A) Isn’t his mother called Mary, and his brothers James,^(B) Joseph,^[a] Simon, and Judas?^(C)

¹¹ The crowds were saying, ‘This is the prophet Jesus^(A) from Nazareth in Galilee.’

²² They were all speaking well of him^[a] and were amazed by the gracious words that came from his mouth; yet they said, ‘Isn’t this Joseph’s son? ’^(A)

⁴² They were saying, ‘Isn’t this Jesus the son of Joseph,^(A) whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, “I have come down from heaven”? ’
