¹¹ It’s not what goes into the mouth that defiles^(A) a person, but what comes out of the mouth – this defiles a person.’^(B)

¹⁹ For it doesn’t go into his heart but into the stomach^(A) and is eliminated’ (thus he declared all foods clean^(B)).

¹⁴ I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself.^(A) Still, to someone who considers a thing to be unclean, to that one it is unclean.^(B)

²⁵ Eat everything that is sold in the meat market, without raising questions for the sake of conscience,

⁴ For everything created by God is good,^(A) and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,^(B)

¹⁵ To the pure, everything is pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; in fact, both their mind and conscience^(A) are defiled.
