²⁹ And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother^[a] or children or fields because of my name will receive a hundred times more and will inherit eternal life.^(A)

³² Don’t be afraid,^(A) little flock,^(B) because your Father delights^(C) to give you the kingdom.^(D)

Victorious Resurrection

⁵⁰ What I am saying, brothers and sisters, is this: Flesh^(A) and blood^(B) cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor can the perishable inherit the imperishable.

²¹ envy,^[a](A) drunkenness, carousing,^(B) and anything similar. I am warning you about these things – as I warned you before – that those who practise such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.^(C)

⁵ Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Didn’t God choose the poor in this world^(A) to be rich in faith^(B) and heirs^(C) of the kingdom that he has promised to those who love him?

⁹ not paying back evil for evil^(A) or insult for insult but, on the contrary, giving a blessing,^(B) since you were called for this, so that you may inherit a blessing.

⁷ The one who conquers^(A) will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be my son.^(B)
