²⁵ ‘Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed^[a] and self-indulgence.^(A)

¹⁴ The Pharisees, who were lovers of money,^(A) were listening to all these things and scoffing^(B) at him.
