¹³ ‘Therefore be alert, because you don’t know either the day or the hour.^[a]

⁴⁰ You also be ready,^(A) because the Son of Man^(B) is coming at an hour you do not expect.’^(C)

³⁶ But be alert at all times,^(A) praying that you may have strength^[a] to escape^(B) all these things that are going to take place and to stand before the Son of Man.’
