⁴⁵ From noon until three in the afternoon,^[a] darkness came over the whole land.^{[b](B) 46} About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Elí, Elí, lemá^[c] sabachtháni?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?”^[d](C)
