¹⁷ When they saw him, they worshipped,^[a] but some doubted.

The Great Commission

¹⁴ Later he appeared to the Eleven^(A) themselves as they were reclining at the table. He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who saw him after he had risen.^(B)

³⁴ who said, ‘The Lord has truly been raised and has appeared to Simon! ’^(A)

The Reality of the Risen Jesus

³⁶ As^(A) they were saying these things, he himself stood in their midst. He said to them, ‘Peace^(B) to you! ’

The Disciples Commissioned

¹⁹ When it was evening on that first day of the week,^(A) the disciples were gathered together with the doors locked because they feared the Jews. Jesus came, stood among them, and said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’^(B)

⁵ and that he appeared to Cephas,^(A) then to the Twelve.^{(B) 6} Then he appeared to over five hundred brothers and sisters at one time;^(C) most of them are still alive, but some have fallen asleep. ⁷ Then he appeared to James,^(D) then to all the apostles.^(E)
