¹⁹ Go, therefore, and make disciples^(A) of^[a] all nations,^(B) baptising^(C) them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

¹³ Is Christ divided?^(A) Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptised in Paul’s name? ¹⁴ I thank God^[a][b] that I baptised none of you except Crispus^(B) and Gaius,^{(C) 15} so that no one can say you were baptised in my name. ¹⁶ I did, in fact, baptise the household^(D) of Stephanas;^(E) beyond that, I don’t recall whether I baptised anyone else. ¹⁷ For Christ did not send me to baptise, but to preach the gospel – not with eloquent wisdom, so that the cross^(F) of Christ will not be emptied of its effect.

¹³ For we were all baptised by^[a] one Spirit into one body – whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free – and we were all given one Spirit to drink.^(A)
