14 -»Tú comerás, pero no te saciarás(A),
Y tu maldad estará en medio de ti.
Apartarás, pero nada salvarás(B),
Y lo que salves, Yo lo entregaré a la espada.
15 -»Sembrarás, pero no segarás(C);
Pisarás la oliva, pero no te ungirás con aceite,
Y la uva, pero no beberás vino(D).
16 -»Han sido guardados los estatutos de Omri(E)
Y todas las obras de la casa de Acab(F),
Y andas en sus consejos(G).
Por tanto te entregaré a la destrucción(H),
Y a tus habitantes a la burla(I).
Ustedes tendrán que soportar el oprobio de Mi pueblo(J)».

14 You will eat but not be satisfied;(A)
your stomach will still be empty.[a]
You will store up but save nothing,(B)
because what you save[b] I will give to the sword.
15 You will plant but not harvest;(C)
you will press olives but not use the oil,
you will crush grapes but not drink the wine.(D)
16 You have observed the statutes of Omri(E)
and all the practices of Ahab’s(F) house;
you have followed their traditions.(G)
Therefore I will give you over to ruin(H)
and your people to derision;
you will bear the scorn(I) of the nations.[c]”
