²⁴Pethahiah son of Meshezabel, of the descendants of Zerah^(A) son of Judah, was the king’s^(B) agent^[a] in every matter concerning the people.

²⁵As for the farming settlements with their fields:

Some of Judah’s descendants lived in Kiriath-arba^(C)

and Dibon and their surrounding villages,^(D) and Jekabzeel and its settlements;
