8 Herren talade sedan till Aron: ”Jag gör dig ansvarig för alla offer som bärs fram till mig. Jag ger dig och dina söner alla de heliga gåvor som förs fram till Herren av israeliterna som er del för all framtid. 9 Av det högheliga, av det som inte bränns på altaret, är alla deras gåvor, mat- och synd- och skuldoffer, era. Det som de kommer med till mig ska vara din och dina söners högheliga andel. 10 Du ska äta dem som någonting högheligt och varje man bland er ska äta av dem. Du ska betrakta dem som heliga.
11 Dig tillhör också alla andra gåvor som israeliterna lyfter upp som lyftoffer. Jag ger dem till dig och dina söner och döttrar som er bestående rättighet. Alla i ditt hus som är rena kan äta dessa.
12 De första gåvorna av skörden som de bär fram till Herren ger jag också åt dig, det bästa av olivoljan, vinet och säden 13 och landets förstlingsgåvor av all annan skörd. Alla i hushållet som är rena får äta av det.
14 Allt som är vigt åt Herren i Israel är ditt. 15 Det som först kommer ur moderlivet bland alla levande varelser, djur likväl som människor som bärs fram inför Herren, ska tillhöra dig. Men en förstfödd människa måste friköpas, likaså ett förstfött orent djur. 16 De ska friköpas vid en månads ålder till ett fastställt värde: fem siklar silver efter tempelvikt som är 20 gera per sikel.
17 Det förstfödda bland kor, får och getter ska du inte köpa tillbaka, för de är heliga. Blodet ska stänkas på altaret och fettet ska brännas som eldoffer som en välbehaglig lukt inför Herren. 18 Köttet ska vara ditt, liksom bringan som lyfts fram och högra lårstycket. 19 Alla heliga gåvor som israeliterna offrar åt Herren ger jag dig och dina söner och döttrar som en bestående rättighet. Detta är ett evigt saltförbund inför Herren för dig och dina efterkommande.”
20 Herren sa till Aron: ”I deras land kommer du inte att ha någon egendom eller arvedel bland dem. Jag är din andel och din egendom bland israeliterna.

Offerings for Priests and Levites
8 Then the Lord said to Aaron, “I myself have put you in charge of the offerings presented to me; all the holy offerings the Israelites give me I give to you and your sons as your portion,(A) your perpetual share.(B) 9 You are to have the part of the most holy offerings(C) that is kept from the fire. From all the gifts they bring me as most holy offerings, whether grain(D) or sin[a](E) or guilt offerings,(F) that part belongs to you and your sons. 10 Eat it as something most holy; every male shall eat it.(G) You must regard it as holy.(H)
11 “This also is yours: whatever is set aside from the gifts of all the wave offerings(I) of the Israelites. I give this to you and your sons and daughters as your perpetual share.(J) Everyone in your household who is ceremonially clean(K) may eat it.
12 “I give you all the finest olive oil and all the finest new wine and grain(L) they give the Lord(M) as the firstfruits of their harvest.(N) 13 All the land’s firstfruits that they bring to the Lord will be yours.(O) Everyone in your household who is ceremonially clean may eat it.(P)
14 “Everything in Israel that is devoted[b] to the Lord(Q) is yours. 15 The first offspring of every womb, both human and animal, that is offered to the Lord is yours.(R) But you must redeem(S) every firstborn(T) son and every firstborn male of unclean animals.(U) 16 When they are a month old,(V) you must redeem them at the redemption price set at five shekels[c](W) of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel,(X) which weighs twenty gerahs.(Y)
17 “But you must not redeem the firstborn of a cow, a sheep or a goat; they are holy.(Z) Splash their blood(AA) against the altar and burn their fat(AB) as a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.(AC) 18 Their meat is to be yours, just as the breast of the wave offering(AD) and the right thigh are yours.(AE) 19 Whatever is set aside from the holy(AF) offerings the Israelites present to the Lord I give to you and your sons and daughters as your perpetual share. It is an everlasting covenant of salt(AG) before the Lord for both you and your offspring.”
20 The Lord said to Aaron, “You will have no inheritance in their land, nor will you have any share among them;(AH) I am your share and your inheritance(AI) among the Israelites.
