²⁰ So were the sons of Reuben, Israel’s eldest son, by their generations, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers, according to the number of names, man by man, every male from twenty years old and above, as many as went forth to war.

²¹ The number of those of the tribe of Reuben was forty-six thousand five hundred.

²² Of the sons of Simeon, by their generations, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers—the sum of them, by the number of names, man by man, every male from twenty years old and above, all that went forth to war—
