⁹ ‘When you enter into battle in your land against an adversary who is attacking you, sound short blasts on the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the Lord your God and be saved from your enemies.^(A)

²⁷ After he arrived, he sounded the ram’s horn throughout the hill country of Ephraim. The Israelites came down with him from the hill country, and he became their leader.

³⁴ The Spirit of the Lord enveloped^[a] Gideon,^(A) and he blew the ram’s horn and the Abiezrites rallied behind him.
