²³ will ever see the land I swore to give their ancestors.^(A) None of those who have despised me^(B) will see it.

Remembering God through Obedience

¹⁰ ‘When the Lord your God brings you into the land he swore to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that he would give you – a land with large and beautiful cities that you did not build,

²³ but he brought us from there in order to lead us in and give us the land that he swore to our ancestors.

¹¹ Then the Lord said to me, “Get up. Continue your journey ahead of the people, so that they may enter and possess the land I swore to give their ancestors.”^(A)

⁶ ‘Be strong and courageous,^(A) for you will distribute the land I swore to their ancestors to give them as an inheritance.^(B)
