^2 (A)If a man makes a vow to the Lord, or takes an oath to ^[a]put himself under a binding obligation, he shall not break his word; he shall act in accordance with everything that comes out of his mouth.

⁴ When you ^(A)make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. ^(B)Pay what you vow!

⁵ It is ^(A)better that you not vow, than vow and not pay.
