20-21 Sometimes the fire-cloud stayed only during the night and moved on the next morning. But day or night, when it moved, the people broke camp and followed. 22 If the Cloud stayed above the Tabernacle two days, a month, or a year, that is how long the people of Israel stayed; but as soon as it moved, they moved.

20 For as many days soever as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle. At the commandment of the Lord they pitched their tents, and at his commandment they took them down.

21 If the cloud tarried from evening until morning, and immediately at break of day left the tabernacle, they marched forward: and if it departed after a day and a night, they took down their tents.

22 But if it remained over the tabernacle for two days or a month or a longer time, the children of Israel remained in the same place, and marched not: but immediately as soon as it departed, they removed the camp.

20 Si la nube se quedaba sobre el santuario sólo unos cuantos días, a una orden del Señor se ponían en camino, y a otra orden suya se detenían. 21 A veces la nube se quedaba sólo por la noche, y por la mañana se levantaba; entonces ellos se ponían en camino. Lo mismo de día que de noche, cuando la nube se levantaba, ellos se ponían en camino. 22 Y si la nube se detenía sobre el santuario un par de días, un mes o un año, los israelitas acampaban y no seguían adelante. Pero en cuanto la nube se levantaba, ellos seguían su viaje.
