Proverbs 11:11-13

¹¹·Good [Righteous] people bless and build up their city,
but the wicked can ·destroy [demolish] it with their ·words [^Lmouth].

¹²People ·without good sense [who lack sense/heart] ·find fault with [despise; belittle] their neighbors,
but those with understanding keep quiet.

¹³Gossips ·can’t keep [^Lgo/walk around revealing] secrets,
but a trustworthy person ·can [keeps a confidence; ^Lcovers up a word].

Proverbs 11:11-13

New International Version

¹¹Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted,^(A)
but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.^(B)

¹²Whoever derides their neighbor has no sense,^(C)
but the one who has understanding holds their tongue.^(D)

¹³A gossip betrays a confidence,^(E)
but a trustworthy person keeps a secret.^(F)
