Proverbs 14:20-22

²⁰ The poor are hated, even by their own neighbors. But the friends of the rich are many.

²¹ The sinner despises his neighbor. But he who has mercy on the poor is blessed.

²² Do not those err who imagine evil? But mercy and truth shall be to those who think on good things.
