Proverbs 16:17-19

¹⁷ The path of the righteous is to turn from evil. And he who keeps his way, keeps his soul.

¹⁸ Pride goes before destruction. And arrogance before the fall.

¹⁹ It is better to be of humble mind with the lowly, than to divide the spoils with the proud.
