Proverbs 17:14-16

¹⁴ The beginning of strife is as one who lets out water. Therefore, cease before contention starts.

¹⁵ Whoever justifies the wicked, and whoever condemns the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.

¹⁶ Why is there, in the hand of the fool, the price to get wisdom (when he has no heart for it)?
