Proverbs 18:17-19

¹⁷ The first to plead his own cause seems just. Then comes his neighbor and examines him.

¹⁸ Casting lots causes contentions to cease; and makes a partition among the mighty.

¹⁹ A offended brother is harder to win than a strong city. And their contentions are like the bars of a palace.
