22 Though you grind a fool
in a mortar with a pestle along with grain,
you will not separate his foolishness from him.(A)
23 Know well the condition of your flock,(B)
and pay attention to your herds,
24 for wealth is not for ever;(C)
not even a crown lasts for all time.
