Proverbs 28:21-23

The Voice

²¹Showing favoritism is not good;
some will desert the truth for a measly crust of bread.

²²A greedy person is in a hurry to get rich,
but he is ignorant of the loss that is about to overtake him.

²³A person who offers constructive criticism will, in the end, be appreciated more
than a person who engages in empty flattery.

²¹To show partiality^(A) is not good^(B)—
yet a person will do wrong for a piece of bread.^(C)

²²The stingy are eager to get rich
and are unaware that poverty awaits them.^(D)

²³Whoever rebukes a person will in the end gain favor
rather than one who has a flattering tongue.^(E)

²¹To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.

²²He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.

²³He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.
