Psalm 73:3-12
New American Standard Bible
3 For I was (A)envious of the [a]arrogant
As I saw the (B)prosperity of the wicked.
4 For there are no pains in their death,
And their belly is fat.
5 They are (C)not [b]in trouble like other people,
Nor are they (D)tormented together with the rest of mankind.
6 Therefore arrogance is (E)their necklace;
The (F)garment of violence covers them.
7 Their eye [c]bulges from (G)fatness;
The imaginations of their heart overflow.
8 They (H)mock and [d]wickedly speak of oppression;
They (I)speak from on high.
9 They have (J)set their mouth [e]against the heavens,
And their tongue [f]parades through the earth.
10 Therefore [g]his people return here,
And (K)abundant waters are drunk by them.
11 They say, “(L)How does God know?
And is there knowledge [h]with the Most High?”
12 Behold, (M)these are the wicked;
And always (N)at ease, they have increased in wealth.
