⁵ Then he will speak to them in his wrath
    and terrify them in his fury, saying,^(A)

⁹ You shall break them with a rod of iron
    and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”^(A)

⁵ The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked,
    and his soul hates the lover of violence.^(A)

⁶ On the wicked he will rain coals of fire and sulfur;
    a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.^(A)
