¹⁸ For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter^[a] or one stroke of a letter will pass away from the law until all things are accomplished.

²⁷ This expression, ‘Yet once more,’ indicates the removal of what can be shaken^(A) – that is, created things – so that what is not shaken might remain.

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord^(A) will come like a thief;^[a](B) on that day the heavens will pass away^(C) with a loud noise, the elements will burn and be dissolved,^(D) and the earth and the works on it will be disclosed.^[b][c]
