⁸ Abandoning the command of God, you hold on to human tradition.’^[a]

Another Counsellor Promised

¹⁵ ‘If you love me, you will keep^[a] my commands.^(A)

²¹ The one who has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.^(A) And the one who loves me will be loved by my Father.^(B) I also will love him and will reveal myself to him.’

²³ Jesus answered, ‘If anyone loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.^(A)

¹⁰ If you keep my commands you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.^(A)
