Jesus Faces the Sanhedrin

⁵⁷ Those^(A) who had arrested Jesus led him away to Caiaphas^(B) the high priest, where the scribes and the elders had convened.

² during the high priesthood of Annas^(A) and Caiaphas,^(B) God’s word came to John the son of Zechariah in the wilderness.^(C)

⁴⁷ So the chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin^(A) and were saying, ‘What are we going to do since this man is doing many signs?

¹³ First they led him to Annas,^(A) since he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas,^(B) who was high priest that year.

Peter Denies Jesus

¹⁵ Simon Peter^(A) was following Jesus, as was another disciple. That disciple was an acquaintance of the high priest; so he went with Jesus into the high priest’s courtyard.
