Der König kommt!
24 Ein Lied von David.
Dem Herrn gehört die ganze Welt
und alles, was auf ihr lebt.
2 Die Erde befestigte er über dem Wasser,
ihre Fundamente legte er auf den Meeresgrund.
3 »Wer darf auf den Berg des Herrn gehen
und an diesem heiligen Ort vor Gott treten?«
4 »Jeder, der kein Unrecht tut
und ein reines Herz hat.
Jeder, der keine fremden Götter anbetet[a]
und keinen falschen Eid schwört.
5 Einen solchen Menschen wird Gott mit seinem Segen beschenken
und ihn für schuldlos erklären; der Herr ist sein Helfer!
6 Das gilt den Menschen, die sich nach dir richten
und im Gebet deine Nähe suchen, du Gott Jakobs[b].«
7 »Hebt euch aus den Angeln, ihr Tore!
Öffnet euch weit, ihr alten Portale,
denn der König will einziehen, die höchste Majestät!«
8 »Wer ist denn dieser mächtige König?«
»Es ist Gott, der Herr, der Starke, der Held.
Es ist der Herr, der siegreiche König!«
9 »Hebt euch aus den Angeln, ihr Tore!
Öffnet euch weit, ihr alten Portale,
denn der König will einziehen, die höchste Majestät!«
10 »Wer ist denn dieser mächtige König?«
»Es ist der Herr über Himmel und Erde[c].
Er ist der mächtige König!«

1 The earth is the Lord’s,(A) and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;(B)
2 for he founded it on the seas
and established it on the waters.(C)
3 Who may ascend the mountain(D) of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?(E)
4 The one who has clean hands(F) and a pure heart,(G)
who does not trust in an idol(H)
or swear by a false god.[a]
5 They will receive blessing(I) from the Lord
and vindication(J) from God their Savior.
6 Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face,(K) God of Jacob.[b][c]
7 Lift up your heads, you gates;(L)
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
that the King(M) of glory(N) may come in.(O)
8 Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,(P)
the Lord mighty in battle.(Q)
9 Lift up your heads, you gates;
lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty(R)—
he is the King of glory.

24 The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
