¹⁷God, you have taught me from my youth,
and I still proclaim your wondrous works.^(A)

¹⁷This is what the Lord, your Redeemer,^(A) the Holy One of Israel^(B) says:

I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you for your benefit,
who leads you in the way you should go.

⁷Endure suffering as discipline: God is dealing with you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline?
