The Lord ^(B)raises up those who are bowed down;
The Lord ^(C)loves the righteous.

⁹ The Lord ^(A)watches over strangers;
He ^[a](B)supports the fatherless and the widow,
But He ^[b]thwarts ^(C)the way of the wicked.
