³⁹ You have ^[a](A)repudiated the covenant of Your servant;

⁴⁰ You have ^(A)broken down all his walls;
You have ^(B)brought his strongholds to ruin.

²⁸ So I will profane the ^[a]officials of the sanctuary,
And I will turn Jacob over to ^(A)destruction and Israel to ^(B)abuse.
