⁴ John: To the seven churches in Asia. Grace and peace^(A) to you from^[a] the one who is, who was, and who is to come,^(B) and from the seven spirits^[b](C) before his throne,

⁵ Flashes of lightning and rumblings and peals of thunder came from the throne.^(A) Seven fiery torches were burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.^(B)

⁶ Then I saw one like a slaughtered lamb^(A) standing in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God^(B) sent into all the earth.
