¹⁶ saying, ‘^(A)Woe, woe, ^(B)the great city, she who ^(C)was clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and ^[a]adorned with gold, precious ^[b]stones, and pearls; ¹⁷ for in ^(D)one hour such great wealth has been laid ^(E)waste!’ And ^(F)every shipmaster and every ^[c]passenger and sailor, and all who ^[d]make their living by the sea, ^(G)stood at a distance, ¹⁸ and were ^(H)crying out as they ^(I)saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘^(J)What city is like ^(K)the great city?’
