³ When they say, ‘Peace and security’, then sudden destruction^(A) will come upon them, like labour pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

³ how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation?^(A) This salvation had its beginning when it was spoken of by the Lord, and it was confirmed to us by those who heard him.^(B)
